I have a great list of movies for rewatching, and one of them is 'Avengers: Endgame' (2019). I'm not a fan of fiction or superhero movies, nor do I follow the Avengers saga. However, Thanos is an intriguing villain to watch. I've always been drawn to villains with complex, immoral acts.
I consider him as a comrade due to his devotion to his ideological beliefs, or perhaps even as an "organic intellectual." But what are his political beliefs? I would argue that he is a Malthusian because of his concern over planetary boundaries, and a Machiavellian for his consequentialist approach to war, encapsulated in the phrase "the end justifies the means."
