My name is Chandra Septian, and I am a data analyst and independent football analyst. Previously, I studied international relations, where I wrote my thesis on the securitization of climate change and honed my research and analytical skills. I have contributed through 350.org Indonesia to lead Climate Strike (Jeda Untuk Iklim) in Bandung 2019 and co-authoring a book chapter on climate adaptation in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann-Stiftung untuk Kebebasan (FnF) Indonesia.
From then on, I spent my time to self-study data analytics. I can work with Excel and other BI tools and multiple programming languages such as Python and SQL to unravel complex datasets. Currently, I’m applying these skills as a noise drop analyst. My passion lies in using data for good and transforming raw numbers into clear, compelling visualizations.
My love and passion for both data analytics and football drive me to write football analysis on my Twitter account, where I dive deep into Arsenal (and EPL teams) tactics by night. I’m also a Notion power-user, and create tutorials, consultancy, and free Notion templates helping others optimize their productivity.
In a nutshell, I enjoy getting curious about something and picking up new things to learn. This unique path has equipped me with a multidisciplinary perspective, that’s why I’m doing the labor of love to run this blog to post my book notes, portfolios, and writings on multi-disciplinary combination of politics, economics history/geography, and data-related topics.
In my free time I like to read, play guitar, and honing my data skills.
